Naomi Linklater BFA B.ED. is the current President of the Board for Warriors Against Violence Society. Naomi trained as a visual artist and worked as teacher of art, culture, language, media literacy and cross-cultural competency. She has worked in the Arts, and with the Newcomer and the Aboriginal communities in the non-profit sector. She has recently trained in Managing People and Strategic Planning and Leadership for Aboriginal Non Profit Society at Native Education College, Vancouver, and Suicide Prevention Training for Aboriginal Youth, VAFCS offered at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre.

Naomi is French, Irish and Métis (Orcadian and Cree). Her family comes from the Selkirk and Red River Settlements in Manitoba.
